Something's Happening Here

I have nothing finished to share this post but I am

always partial to what shows promise in a painting. 

I really do enjoy all the steps along the way, 

error and "no, no, no's" and all!

Here, I like the energy and the texture,

something is happening, I'm just not sure what! 

This is a detail from a large (for me) canvas 36"by 24" canvas.

I won't have a problem cutting it up, but I do long for

a uniform composition that works throughout the piece.

That is always, always, the evolving work, and nothing

I have mastered this far!

I like the texture here, but it is all a mishmash of patterns, the strain

toward meaning. Tomorrow is another day, another go

at realizing / manifesting something undefinable.
