Summer Shimmer

I scanned this 8x8  oil/wax wood panel and am so pleased that the texture detail is clear.
I am still in the process of  learning how best to photograph my work.
The yellow shapes are painted paper cutouts glued to the background,
so this is a mixed media piece. Reminds me of all that shimmers in summer!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

I love the textures and the colors...you have done a good job in the photography department...it does take practice and learning to use your camera. Have a very safe 4TH!!! Peace be with you, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

thanks so much Mary Helen! These days an artist who uses the internet has to be a jack of all trades, from photographer to social networker to promotional director just to stay in the game. Unfortunately I fall short in all categories! Oh well as long as I keep doing art, that's all that matters in the long run.

Beautiful little piece! Reminds me of the Greek islands I've just been to, so vacation- like...It came out great in the photo, so hard without a proper studio set up! I photograph my jewelry, I know how difficult it can be...All the more thumbs up!
