The Great Solar Marathon

Digital Sun Glow
It has been oppressively hot here, triple digits
and it's still June!   I was talking to an EMT who
has been working at the Renaissance Festival
who said there were a record number of  sun stroke
victims yesterday. One of the symptoms
is AMS, "Altered Mind Status", which I thought
could be a good thing in some cases! Like myself
I mean. I have been in such an art funk, for all
of June I have been unable to finish a single painting
and I can't blame the sun! For some reason, whatever reason,
I woke up this morning ready to engage again.
So far my best definition of art block
is lack of engagement. Nothing clilcks, nothing works,
no passion, no energy, dead battery: no engagement.
Today I was able to finish three paintings,
the one below and an abstract diptych.
It feels so good, I'm glowing!
