This is my 100th post! Well sort of. When I started this blog, I gave myself 100 posts to work toward, after which I would evaluate and see if I would want to continue blogging. For some reason, I have not wanted to make a decision in that regard and for a couple of months now, I have been cheating a little by deleting some of my less successful posts and so I have kept 99 as an ongoing number of "active" posts. I guess it's a like being just a little bit pregnant!
Well, I have decided to keep up Cinnamon Studio for another hundred! It turns out that I enjoy communicating with you all and the visual journal that the blog provides has really become a great aide in my creative process.

DisCo Collaboration Cover of Fabric Art Journal
I began blogging as a result of Seth Apter's, (The Altered Page), invitation to join a community of artists in his "Disintegration Collaboration, DisCo" where we were to assemble a bundle of paper, fabric and whatever else we thought of and set it outside to be worked upon by mother nature. The next stage, months later, was to make an art object from the bundle of disintegration. I made a fabric art journal cover from my bundle. Well lo and behold, Seth's project has been featured in the current issue of 'Cloth, Paper, Scissors' magazine and the photo of my bundle out in the snow was chosen to be published. Congratulations to Seth for all of his successful efforts to engage a large group of artists to participate in such an enjoyable as well as educational project.

Crossroads
Here are some photos of what I have been doing in the studio lately. One day I thought it would be a good idea to cut up loads of my painted paper scraps into different linear sizes and then afterwards wondered what to do with them! I decided to just make some dimensional collage pieces with them. (Can you spot the cross groupings above?)

Where I Want To Go
This one actually took a lot of work to unify. For a long time it looked like your basic game of "Pick Up Sticks"!
