On Saturday two of my best art friends, Paula Hagar and Kristie La Rose, came over for an art play day. There were lots of good snacks, great wine, flowing conversation and an art project. Who could ask for a better art day? We made collages with text backgrounds and stencil foreground. I made an accordian triptych book on 8inch sq. masonite board.

I used Kristie's mandala stencil for all 6 pages and brush stenciled it in.

One side is gold.

The other side is turquoise. I used embroidery thread to accent the sides of each page.
Nice souvenir of a lovely day.

Wonderful Marie. The triptych pages look great with mandala stencilled images superimposed over the various styles of script. The embroidery thread adds a nice finishing touch.
these are fabulous Marie, love the stencils!
Oh, what a fun afternoon that was! I love everything I did, and can't wait to do a bunch more of these stenciled collage pages in my art journal.
There is nothing better than a creative day shared with other like minded souls and even better when they are friends! Gorgeous stencils!
