OK. So it has been snowing since Thursday and it looks like this storm is hanging around until Tuesday. This time of year cabin fever sets in big time. Yesterday I decided to have a little fun instead of staying under the covers! I have been making a photo collection of faces that I want to paint. I found some vintage mannequin photos that I love and wanted to see what I could do with them (The small photos are the altered originals.) I finished two 8inch square paintings and the day went blissfully by.
I have always loved The Twilight Zone television series and love when they run it all day long. (I think it's over Memorial Day.) Anyway, one of my favorite episodes is the one where the mannequins in a department store get to have one time a year when they get to become human and leave the store for an adventure.

One of the mannequins forgets that she is really just a "doll" and that she needs to get back to the store and give another mannequin her turn. It's a great story and I always enjoy re-watching it. I also enjoyed seeing these faces emerge through my nostalgia.

Sometimes it's just feels good to let go a little and forget about the weather!
Peace Baby!
