Summer's End (Sigh!)

I have a new friend! A tiny bunny (apparently mommy-less) has been coming around the porch and nibbling on the oats I have put out for it. It runs away when I approach but as long as I stay on the stairs it sits and visits with me. It has a white diamond mark on its forehead and is cute as can be.

Alas, summer is coming to and end. The morning started out with blue skies and warm temperatures but the dark clouds are moving in with the forecast-ed cold front that most likely will bring the first frost. The flowers in my St. Francis shrine are bright and the most colorful they have been all season. They are having one last fit of glory!

As is the pin cushion plant!

I love the way the bee balm grows, very tall with fushia colored spikey flowers.

The rosemary plant is in blue bloom. I am hoping that it seeds for next year.

A butterfly in the pin cushions.
