A Few Details

Was not able to do any painting over the week end, lots of chores and yard work to do. I do get antsy when I've been away from the studio too long. Plus it is really needing a good cleaning!
Thought I'd share a few painting details to start the week off. I like the juicy texture of this piece as well as the pastel-y colors. It feels like the messiness of painting just for the sheer joy of it!

I like this "peek-a-boo" pose. Madame Primavera does enjoy a good photo opportunity!

I have a hard time committing to a focal point. I did this piece in an abstract class & the teacher encouraged me to take the plunge & get rid of some of the colorful shapes I had in it and create a "soft place". It is still difficult for me to choose the strongest shapes and to build those up, but I am so anxious and ready to go after the challenge again! Hope everyone has a good art week!
