Buried Treasure REDUX

Seth Apter over at The Altered Page is sponsoring a second search for "Buried Treasure". Bloggers who have signed on are to go through past blog posts again and choose another favorite to re-post. Since my blog is only a couple of months old, I thought I'd dig through my stash of stuff & come up with some of my favorite pieces.

Over the years I have made quite a few altered books. For awhile it was my primary artistic medium. I have since gone back to painting and collaging on canvas, but going through my old work is always fun and fascinating to see what I accomplished and to remember "who" and "where" I was at the time.

One of my favorites is the "Not Your Momma's Photo Album".

How are you gonna keep 'em?

Remember what our grandma's used to say? "Never air your dirty laundry in public?"

Looking towards the future!

The next photos are favorites from other altered books.

Seth always knows the right thing to say! Thanks for the challenge Seth. I enjoyed it!

Love the shelf of books!! And such great pages to highlight. There is so much humor in them. My favorite is "Looking towards the future." It is quite powerful in its simplicity. Thanks for joining again in part 2!!

As an altered book artist, I was intrigued by your shelf of ABs. I thought they were so interesting, and the spreads you highlighted in this post were wonderful. I knew I was in a good place when I saw your blog banner. Simply inspiring!
