Framed

Had a fun studio day today framing and hanging some art pieces from friends and some of my own as well. My favorite is the hand cut stencil of the Dali Lama made by a long time ATC (artist trading cards) friend, the very talented Nikki Evans. There is glare from the glass, but it is a fabulous & inspiring piece and it definitely adds good energy to Studio Cinnamon!
These pieces are two of my sewn paper collages that were shown on my friend Kristie LaRose's Etsy store. (They were not sold, but I sure appreciate her efforts on my behalf!) I realize now that what they needed were mats & frames to both showcase them and offer a more aesthetic product. (Click on any of the images to see enlarged version.)
This is an abstract acrylic ink piece I made this winter. I'm glad I gave it a chance to hang out!
Hopefully this week I can be inspired to start some new work and/or accomplish some more on my cross project.
