Today I worked on this abstract block painting. It is far from finished but I'm showing it anyway. There are a couple of areas that turned to mud, but for the most part all the layers of colors show through. I am still wanting to combine the abstract with the figurative so I thought I would altered this photo with some quick artist caricatures I did this morning just for fun.
First, an aged Matisse looking elegantly serene!
Then a wiley Warhol forever capturing pop culture.
And last but not least, Picasso himself always on the ready to paint himself into a corner!
