Day 5 away from the studio. I have taken a week off for spring cleaning and yard work in preparation for a 90th b-day party for my mother-in-law on Sunday. Thank heaven for an occasional digital reprieve and art fix! I have altered hundreds of photos over the years and use the images for Art Trading Cards (ATC's).
This image is from a series of text inspired collage I have made. Not sure why I felt naked at the time! "You can't fool Mother Nature" or something like that.
Worked on this piece last week. It is on canvass board (14x24) and has gone through many "incarnations" and I'm never certain what version will be a keeper but this is one is cheerful and I am liking it.
I posted a version of this detail (Gauze, String and Gesso) but have since "lightened it up" so that many dripping colors can be seen.
Here is the full piece in all its glory! So different than what I had in mind when I started it. It feels like a colored rain shower!
