Binder Stitchery

My efforts to archive my sewn collages continues.
I put 40 of them into this old canvas wrapped 3 ring binder
in plastic sleeves where they can be easily accessed.
This series is based on "found" art I've  bought at
estate sales, old magazines, and bits of my early work.

This is a spread view: at left a clip art  gal hangs on to her hat,
at bottom right  are watercolor trees from an unknown artist.
I enjoy putting together "palette" pieces, things that flow into each other
by color as well as organically.

The little cup of pansies is one of my very first attempts at water color,
more than a little shaky, but I'm glad I found a place for it!

Found photo of  little girl printed on fabric.

I made several Ladies Home Journal collages. This one has a floral
piece on black velvet paper done with liquid embroidery. I bought a little box of these
at an estate sale, the artist signed them all "Lucy".
The little boat is  a little oil painting, also found at an estate.

Another black velvet floral from Lucy!  The tulip is also another
liquid embroidery  but by another person.
