So sorry for the delay in updating my oil+cold wax progress in Judy Wise's class. I had to wait to come back to Cinnamon to upload the photos I've taken of each phase of the assignments.
The above is layers of color. When I get a result, like the above that I really like, it's hard to go on with the new techniques. It's an ever evolving process of knowing when to hold 'em and when to fold.
This piece has many many layers, and some marking. It is far from finished.
This is one of my textured layers made with several techniques of marking and mono-printing.
This is another one of those that I'm either afraid or unwilling to do more, although I probably will.
More texturing, and an odd yellow shape I want to erase!
- I am loving the class and all the assignments, although it has not all been easy. Lots of decisions to be made, lots of experiments that go sadly array, nice spots that get lost. It's all about learning to work with a new medium, not taking the work too seriously, and just letting go and playing. Playing like this for a week was hard work! Looking forward to next week though!!!!

I kind of like the yellow marks...sand them if you wish but I think they add another voice to your textures. Beautiful process. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Thanks Mary Helen....who knows what will happen to the yellow mark!
I am enjoying the process Cat. There's always surprises!
