A Two Year Old Could Paint That

 Doodling Friends
I've been away in Seattle WA
doing some child care with my sister
for her three grandchildren while
their parents were away.
The above watercolor was the only
art that I could fit into
the ten days. Of course, the subject
matter was the result of  watching cartoons,
IPad videos, and reading children's books!

A two year old could paint that
and  Finn did! He wanted to paint some flowers
for his mommy. I love the blue "vase"
and the red bird in the flowers!  I love
the painting period!

This is five year old Ky's dinosaur that he drew
at his after school program. He said he was surprised
the way it turned out and was so proud of it.
I think its perfect!

This is my favorite of the drawings that he
and I did together..."Dinosaur Head".

This is Ky with his fridge gallery!
Kids love to show their art work,
we even hung some up on the dishwasher!

I came back to Cinnamon to find my "Marking Time" series
of paintings waiting right where I left them. I'm sure someone will say
(or think!)  a two year old could paint those,
and that will be OK with me!
I will be posting them individually and writing about
the process soon.

Thanks so much for doing art projects with the boys. It touched my heart seeing them here. They absolutely loved it and can't stop talking about their aunt. Finn started back at daycare and he told his dad that he didn't like it, would much rather hang out with aunt Marie!!! Your all around help with the kids was greatly appreciated!

If I'd had someone like Aunt Marie in MY Life when I was a kid, my childhood would have been vastly superior to what it was. But they say it's never too late to have a happy childhood, and these days I am the most happy when I too get to play and make art with "Aunt Marie."
