A Little Night Light

"Light, too encrusts us making visible
the motions of the mind and giving form
to moodiest nothings"

"Where the voice that is us makes a true response,
Where the voice that is great within us rises up,
As we stand gazing at the rounded moon.

"Bare night is best. Bare earth is best. Bare, bare,
Except for our own houses huddled low
Beneath the arches and their spangled air"

All quotes are from Wallace Stevens "Evening Without Angels".

I like the introduction of the rose color in the last two...all three stay cool as moonlight even the rose color...beautiful connection to the words by Wallace Stevens.

Wallace Stevens is one of my favorite poets and your current series is very interesting and thought provoking.

These pieces are really lovely and I adore the way you have woven the poetry into the blog post.
