All Fall Down

I love the heart shaped leaves of the catalpa outside of the window where I write this, big as elephant ears, now falling one by one, they all fall down.

I've always liked to collect leaves in the fall and set them about for spots of color. I had fun taking pictures of these on top of some of my abstract paintings.

Autumn

by Rainer M. Rilke

The leaves are falling, falling as if from far up,

as if orchards were dying high in space.

Each leaf falls as if it were motioning "no".

And tonight the heavy earth is falling

away from all the other stars in the lonliness.

We're all falling. This hand here is falling.

And look at the other one...It's in them all.

And yet there is Someone, whose hands

infinitely calm, hold up all this falling

I call this one "Autumn Tango"!

Leaves - I don't think I've ever met one I don't love. Well maybe a stinging nettle. I was just looking at your profile Marie and realized you listen to 40's music. The 40's is my most favorite era for design. Another thing we have in common!
