
Here in Larkspur, Colorado we are having a heavenly month of cloudless cerulean skies, pale yellow fields, warm days and cool nights while everything is going to seed.

A perfect time to look at the nature photography of Karl Blossfeldt.
I love best his photos of seed pods,

and love to play with altering them on the computer.

These are some of my favorites. I made an fabric transfer of the middle altered piece and ironed it onto a T-shirt.
I painted these 12 square panels yesterday... a tribute to Blossfeldt and the incredible beauty of autumn upon us. I know winter is just a whisper away, but at the moment all outside is glory!

Here in Iowa we're in the Fall months too :) I love the Fall but dread our harsh winters!
