A Slippery Slope

Shadow Composition
Sometimes beauty just spills over and points to natural and simple elegance.
I took this photo in the studio after a long afternoon of painting shapes and things and I thought I was doing OK until I noticed the wonderful and perfect shadows playing on the wall! It was like an echo of my longing to create, like an affirmation of where I am in my art, like a mirror of my soul. Also a message to stop trying so hard and just follow along naturally.
Love Is A Slippery Slope
Funny how I did not catch the left side of this piece from sliding off into oblivion until I saw the photo. I am thinking of how to bring it back a little.

Coming And Going
I am having so much fun with charcoal and pastels!

Bridge

This is an ATC I made a long time ago. I know it does not fit the abstact theme of this post. but it does speak to how I am feeling today: nostalgic and dreamy and wondering about the shape of things to come on this very quiet Saturday morning.

I rather like it as it is Marie, but am interested in what you would do with it. Love that yellow that just lifts the darker tones of the top piece and all the energy that is contained in the second.
