I found this little antique jewel case at an estate sale and knew it was a treasure. It is covered in black leather and has a tiny brass clasp. The inside was built up with satin and cardboard to house what looked to be a bracelet or watch. It is 3.3 by 2 inches, a little too small for ATC's , but I wanted to store something inside. I put a rub on transfer on the cover, along with an antique brooch covered in glass that is cracked but adds to the charm. There is a photo inside of an elderly woman, I am thinking probably 1800's. It was given to me by my sister whose father in law was a jeweler.

I decided to put a little accordion book of portraits inside which I made from vintage book pages and photo transfers.

It was one of those projects that was a pure labor of love: a passion for memorabilia, and a blissful desire to transform it into something new.
