Art Destination?

Over the long holiday week end I started a new visual art journal. Over time, I've had a art journal in process while I'm completing other work and find that it is a good way to pump the creative flow. Sometimes the pages have themes, sometimes they are just fun. The current journal is a collection of questions to myself that I want to explore about where I want to take my art: my art destination. Collaging is often filled with snychronisities for me. The Italian grammar page I used for the first spread is the conjugation of the verb essere, (to be). It set the direction of the journal.

I like the idea of traveling through my art, following where it leads.

Finding the subject that is most engaging for me is my objective. It is where I can explore to my hearts content, where I can be most honest.

Most art comes from a solitary effort but often it can feel isolating as well. This is the subject I want to examine and question: solitude versus isolation: how to travel between the two poles and document what I find.

I LOVE this idea of exploring "solitude vs. isolation." This is probably the #1 issue I'm dealing with in my life right now, so if you'd like to explore this with me, I'm up for it.
