Finding A Journaling Place

I've always wanted to take a journal into a coffee shop
and write away with the energetic vibe around  the place
for inspiration, but I've never taken the time to actually do it.
During my last stay in Boulder, I wrote it down on my "to do" list
and although it wasn't a coffee shop, I found a wonderful
journaling place.

The Boulder Bookstore is one of my very favorite places
anywhere. I've gone there for over twenty years, and usually
come out of there with a delicious stack of  new books.

Last week, I took my journal, found a nice easy chair
in the art section upstairs, and wrote for a whole hour.
I feel such a connection with the place, the books,
and the folks who go there.
I will definitely be going back there to journal
as well as to shop!

I know the visual journal is all the rage right now
and I do enjoy sketching into one myself.
I was happy to find the Aqua Stics,
(an oil based/water soluble crayon) that is perfect
for painting over sketches.
