I've been experimenting with a new medium
(for me), cold wax and oils.
I found a treasure trove deal at an estate sale,
too good to pass up with lots of new tubes
in a rainbow of colors.
I've been doing some layering on paper
and like the results so far.
Marching Along With Fall
This is a canvas board I've been working on.
The cold wax is supposed to hurry the
drying time along, but after using acrylics
for so long, it seems too long!
More paper experimenting. Lots of layers
& it didn't turn to mud!!!!

looks fabulous and how fortuitous to find it all at an estate sale... the best way to experiment! guess you like it? been thinking about playing with it myself..
Thanks Cat! I am liking the oils & wax mix, but it does take some getting used to as it a much slower process than acrylics. I find that I think lots more about what to put down, rather than just randomly putting color down.
I have loved all the work that I have seen recently in cold wax. If I worked with oils, I would totally explore cold wax.
