Hi Marie. I see you have two paintings in a row in which you mention melancholy. "Shapes of Melancholy" is one of my favourite paintings of yours I've seen! I love the shapes, the lines, and the circles. They work together beautifully in portraying melancholy, at least the way I feel when feeling melancholic. Very nicely done!

Melancholy can be a very powerful feeling... It is translating into your art in a very powerful way. I love the lines on it... I can see shapes and faces and give it my own interpretation.

Carole you always leave such thoughtful comments that are so encouraging to me! Yup, the melancholy has me in its grip lately & I always try to use my "weather" as art inspiration. It helps to paint it out!

Thanks David, I really appreciate your comment.

Thanks Introverted Artist! I think it's really important to go with the flow, wherever and whatever the flow is at any given time. It makes for a nice dialogue with the work.
