On The Wall

Hung these 12x12 mixed media squares this weekend,

 and finished the two pieces
I showed last post.
I call this 14 inch square  canvas Hollyhocks
only because the colors remind me of  them.

Painted Desert  on table easel,
36x24, mixed.
I changed it quite a bit from the original
black and white piece,
(see last post photo).

You have been busy in the studio. This Painted Desert piece is evolving in a lovely way!

I like where the Painted Desert is going! Hollyhocks and the 12x12 are beautiful.

The three make a lovely set to hang together. I like the Painted Desert which suggests movement.

Thanks Blue Sky! Who knows where the desert will take me!

Carole, thanks for the nice comments!

Good to hear from you Sylvia!
Thanks for the comments. I did see movement in the desert piece after you mentioned it....or action, a verb, something alive.

I see nothing BUT movement in the desert piece, which really is interesting, and quite different from much of what you've been doing. But that's you - constantly evolving. Can't wait to visit you soon built my wilted inspirational level back up again.

Paula, yeah, I am always pushing toward something, what I have no idea! In this piece, I was concentrating on alot of different things: different colors, composition, & trying to compose on such a large, (for me) support. I really had not seen the movement until Sylvia pointed it out. Just goes to show you, a painting needs a village!
