I will be in an out of town for the rest of the summer so my studio time will be limited. One of the goals I've set for myself is to put to use a lot of the goodies I've accumulated from our weekly estate sale ventures.

So many things tucked away in cigar boxes, curio-cabinets, plastic containers... it's all good! Just waiting to be reclaimed, repurposed. Like dreams put on back burners, stewing up delicious flavor!

This is the first thing I made. It is built on a 30" gallery wrapped canvas from my collection of miniature/vintage frames. I used DaVinci writing from a stationary box and lace pieces for the background and filled the frames with corral from the Caribbean, a rusted metal thing, a wasp nest, and a clock face. It's been awhile since I've hung anything new in our house, but this adds some charm to a dark hallway.

I bought this used tote to repurpose as a grocery sack. I sewed on lots of bric-a-brack & a fabric transfer of one of my Modigliani ladies. I'm hoping she will encourage me to remember to do my part in cutting down on plastic bags!
This is a photo of the wonderful brocante I recieved from Caterina Giglio's give-away at Belle'Antico. What fun...the sweet little packages with vintage labels and french postcards. My favorite was the little lady! I can't wait to use up these goodies!
