Treats

Well another Halloween has come and gone but I was the lucky recipient of a parcel of painted paper treats from Sylvia Ballerini of Studio Sylvia. Recently Lawendula of Woven letters held an international paper swap and paired me up with the generous and talented Sylvia. Her papers are handmade beauties! I've already used a piece for a greeting card and the paper accepts acrylic paint stamping beautifully. I plan to make a small art journal with my stash. Thanks Sylvia! And thanks to Lawendula for hosting this fun swap.

Another special treat is my early blooming Christmas cactus. It is covered with buds and gorgeous pink blooms. The Christmas cactus flower was my mother's favorite and every time my plants bloom I think of it as a visit from her. (Thanks Mom!)

I am working on a mandala assemblage series & this is one of them. The color in the photo is not good & it is photographed crookedly as well but I thought I'd show it anyway. It's got lots of metal and texture & is on wood.

You are welcome and I am glad that my parcel was so well received, Marie. Enjoy! Those cactus buds are a gorgeous shade of pink. The mandala assemblage looks great. Are they porcelain/ceramic pieces attached at the lower edge?
