Getting By With A Little Help From My Friends

After my last post
I feel a little like Pandora spilling the jar of menace into the atmosphere! One thing I had not remembered about the myth is that hope remains in the jar and I wonder why. I think better to let hope out and keep the mischief in the jar.
From time to time, my unresolved "issues" do come spilling forth. All the Saturn-esque"powers that be" that want everything to stay rigidly status quo do me in until I can remember that there are other powers as well. Friendly encouragement does wonders and for that I am so appreciative.
Caterina from "La Dolce Vita", Kim from "Merlin's Musings" and Laura from "Follow Your Bliss" all responded to my "rant" with such thoughtful and "gut" edged responses. (Now that's what I'm talking about!) Thank you ladies & bless you for taking the time to comment .

I spent yesterday finishing up an abstract painting, colorful shapes and spirits standing strong inspite of a darkness spilling down & threatening to wipe out the light. What would uphold the darkness I wondered and that's when the hands appeared! Holding on with a little help from my friends!!!! Art is so revealing, and can most always answer the bees of questions in my head. But what is art anyway? Sometimes it is a companonable visit of color, the simple comfort of a pleasing shape, the space to inhabit a sympathtic vibe.

for me art is life... only most people are unaware that they are making art with their life!

I'm such a rebel.I find such inspiration in change so no status quo embracing for me! For me, like Cat has said art is life. It's my way to mull over, regurgitate and express. So glad to hold your hand if only for a minute. :)
