I am working on a new series using the cross symbol as a holistic scared space/place rather than suffering. These are my first two. They are 30x36. I hope to do six or more over the rest of the summer. When I have a series or theme in mind I find that I am much more likely to work whether I am feeling inspired or not & and I can take time off for other projects without losing the thread.
I am thinking of using a prism palette; so this is the red. Both the cross and the background have a lot of texture and required a lot of prep work but I am pleased with the effect.
